It is all go here at the moment – we are almost there for the parcel to go to Pakistan. I am just waiting on some long sleeved tops to be delivered to put with the dresses and we can send the package.
We have sent the dresses off to Sydney … for the Philippines and Uganda delivery – thank you everyone for your amazing work. This was the result of participating with others in our last Philippines donation.
We have been chatting to Sarah and Gideon at Amani in Tanzania and will be delivering dresses there in the new year – how amazing is this …. this lovely organisation works with children whose parents have died of HIV and look after these kids, schooling them and assisting them in every way possible – read all about them here. So our sewing day in January will be geared towards this distribution.
We have just received some wonderful dresses from Chris and her mother who sewed these gorgeous dresses…. wow – they just used their own material and patterns and how gorgeous they are!! Luckily they are still happy to sew for us – so the lovely Sue Haviv has been cutting lots of lovely dresses and has given them 12!
And Sue while she has been cutting the smaller dresses lately – has also sewn a lot too – these lovelies are from her (and her new sewing machine… as her other one needed to be replaced) …. Sue does a most amazing job and loves the smaller cross over dresses!!
I was invited to a lovely event called a Friendsgiving (like Thanksgiving) …. the lovely organiser Yvette asked the ladies for school supplies to send to Pakistan where our next parcel is destined for – I was blown away – so thanks to the lovely ladies who donated supplies and cash too (for postage) …. we are very fortunate to have you help us!!
Thank you for all your kind donations and support … without your help I could not do this!!
As I often say
We cannot help everyone – but we can help one little girl at a time – and that is pretty amazing
Thanks so much
